Meredith Baxter dropped the Birney, came out as a lesbian, and revealed personal matters in a book entitled Untied. She is known for such iconic television series as Family and Family Ties. Meredith has worked on more television specials than most actresses and followed that with recent web series. It was a “family” reunion as Nunn on One talked with her once again about life and love.

Jerry Nunn: Hey, Meredith. I just finished reading the book minutes ago. They just got a copy to me and I was cramming all night and all morning.

Meredith Baxter: Was that part of the requirement?

JN: I just wanted to study up and get the background on you.

MB: Wow, that is very devoted of you.

JN: It gave me a good perspective. We met at a memorabilia show and we did a quick interview together.

MB: Oh, right. How the hell are you, Jerry?

Meredith Baxter, known for her television series with ABC’s Family and NBC’s Family Ties. She has now become a part of our family by coming out of the closet officially recently. She talked to Nunn on the Run about the experience.

Jerry Nunn: Hello, Meredith. I watched you on TV for years. I was fairly small when Family was out. You won an Emmy for it?

Meredith Baxter: No, I didn’t win an Emmy. They sort of misrepresented it but I think they didn’t mean to. I have been nominated three times in the past.

JN: Well, being nominated is great.

MB: Nominated is actually better because those are my peers, the winners are chosen by a committee.
