After reviewing Carlos in several videos for my column, I had been e-mailing him for a chance to meet and first caught up with him at the booth for Rentboy.com during IML. His hands were tied, so to speak, so we met at Starbucks the following Friday. This Venezuelan born dancer was surprisingly affectionate, genuine and down to earth. I was curious how he’s kept it fresh for the past ten years in the industry.

Pubert: So start me out. When did you come to America?

Carlos: In 1992, I moved to New York and wanted to be a stripper. I had big legs from dancing in Venezuela but quickly started working out to please the American gay audience.
